Motherwell manager Alfred Johansson has urged his squad to prepare for a fierce reception in their Europa Conference League qualifier against HB Torshavn. Despite holding a 2-0 lead from the first leg, Johansson emphasized the difficulty of playing away in the Faroe Islands, a venue where HB Torshavn has an impressive five-year unbeaten record in European competitions.

"Go home and eat some barbed wire" was Johansson's colorful instruction to his players, highlighting the physical battle he anticipates. He stressed the need for intensity and bravery to overcome a team that has previously held off strong opponents like Brondby and Maccabi Haifa at home.

The squad faces challenges with departures and injuries, including captain Paul Mc Ginn and Stephen O'Donnell. However, the return of Tawanda Maswanhise, last season's top scorer, provides a significant boost.
