Motherwell signed off for their Conference League third-round qualifier against HJK Helsinki with a goalless draw against Falkirk. After enjoying the better of the first half, the weary-looking hosts were forced to defend for long spells after the break.\n\nAlfred Johansson made three changes from the side which drew 1-1 with HJK Helsinki. Nineteen-year-old Mikey Booth made his first Scottish Premiership appearance, while Jamie Knight-Lebel and Ibrahim Said also came into the starting XI.

Falkirk's John McGlynn made six changes, including a debut for Finley Barbrook.\n\nHome striker Tawanda Maswanhise dragged his effort wide early, then almost broke the deadlock in the 27th minute. Said's thunderous effort smashed against the crossbar. After the break, both teams had chances, but neither could find the breakthrough.

Motherwell settled for a point before turning attention back to Europe.
