Boehly's Vivid Seats Ticket Scandal

Chelsea fans express outrage as Vivid Seats, an American resale platform with minority ownership by club chairman Todd Boehly, lists FA Cup semi-final tickets at inflated prices ranging from $200 to $2,308. These prices far exceed the £30-150 face value, with listings appearing before tickets were available to season ticket holders.

Dominic Rosso of Chelsea Supporters Trust condemns the "clear conflict of interest," noting fans can buy tickets in the same block as his for $470 (£346). Despite UK laws against ticket touting, the listings remain invisible to UK customers through a geographic loophole.

Chelsea previously ejected 1,393 spectators for possessing touted tickets while canceling 2,740 tout-related accounts. While the Premier League found no rule breach in Boehly's involvement, the situation exposes gaps in regulations allowing international platforms to operate outside UK legislation.
