Barcelona has secured the signing of Brazilian international Kerolin from Women's Super League champions Manchester City. The contract extends through to 2030. The 26-year-old was instrumental in City's WSL title win, contributing nine goals and five assists in 15 league appearances last season, including a hat-trick against Chelsea. Reports indicate Barcelona paid approximately £1.3m for the transfer, a record fee for a female Brazilian player.

Kerolin, who joined City in January 2025 from North Carolina Courage, is a vital player for Brazil, with 15 goals in 62 international caps, and is expected to feature prominently in the upcoming World Cup hosted in her home country.

European champions Barcelona are seeking to bolster their squad after losing key players such as Alexia Putellas and Mapi Leon to London City Lionesses, and Salma Parraluelo to Lyon. Kerolin is seen as a replacement for Parraluelo, while Manchester City has signed England's Beth Mead to enhance their attack.
