London City Lionesses have secured the signing of Spanish youth international Daniela Arques from Sporting, pending international clearance. The 20-year-old midfielder has agreed to a three-year contract, further strengthening the London club's Spanish contingent.

This move is part of an ambitious summer transfer window for London City, which has also seen the additions of Alexia Putellas, a two-time Ballon d'Or winner, and former Barcelona defender Mapi Leon. Arques arrives at London City following a successful season in Portugal, where she made 32 appearances and established herself as a key player.

Arques expressed her excitement about joining the Women's Super League (WSL), stating, "Coming to the UK to play in the WSL is a brilliant opportunity and I'm looking forward to developing as a player and as a person." She previously represented Spain at the U19 level, winning back-to-back European titles in 2024 and 2025, before progressing to the U20 squad. Her career began at Athletic Club de Murcia, with subsequent spells at Alhama and Levante in Spain's top division.
