Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti has signed a new deal to remain Brazil's manager through the 2030 World Cup. Appointed in May 2025 after leaving Real Madrid, he guided the Seleção to qualification for the 2026 tournament in North America. His extension gives the CBF continuity heading into the next two World Cups.

Ancelotti said the passion for football in Brazil was evident from his first day, adding that the past year has been about restoring the national side to the sport’s summit. He thanked the Brazil Football Federation for its trust and emphasised a desire for “more victories, more time, more work” as the partnership continues.

With qualification secured and a long‑term contract in place, Brazil can now focus on squad selection and tactical refinement ahead of the 2026 finals. Ancelotti’s experience across Europe and his early success suggest the team will enter the tournament with a clear plan, aiming to reclaim the global crown.

For supporters, the extension removes any uncertainty about the coaching helm, allowing fan initiatives and media narratives to centre on player performance rather than managerial speculation. Should Brazil lift the trophy in 2026, Ancelotti would become the first European coach to deliver two World Cup titles for different nations, cementing a historic legacy.
