Manchester City striker Khadija Shaw has secured a spot on the eight‑strong shortlist for the 2025‑26 Women’s Super League Player of the Season award. Shaw, 29, scored 19 goals in 21 matches and is poised to claim a third straight Golden Boot after leading City to their first title since 2016.

The shortlist also includes City mate Kerstin Casparij, Aston Villa’s Kirsty Hanson – who sits second in the league with 12 goals – and Arsenal forward Alessia Russo. Other nominees span the league, featuring Jess Park, Alyssa Thompson, Olivia Holdt and Ruby Mace, each bringing distinct strengths to their clubs.

Shaw’s tally underscores her role in City’s resurgence, while the diverse panel of finalists highlights the depth of talent across the WSL. The awards ceremony, set for 18 May, will also induct three Hall of Fame members, cementing the season’s legacy.
