Aberdeen have signed Chris Cadden from Scottish Premiership rivals Hibernian, with the 29-year-old right-back seeking "a fresh challenge" and "more game time". Manager Jimmy Thelin praised Cadden's engine and defensive maturity, noting his hunger to join.

Cadden, who has two Scotland caps, said: "Having worked with the manager before, I know the scale of his ambition... It's a fresh challenge for me." His brother Nicky remains at Hibs.

Hibernian head coach David Gray paid tribute to "a brilliant servant to this club", highlighting his energy, consistency and professionalism. Gray acknowledged they couldn't offer Cadden desired game time and understood his wish to maximise playing opportunities at this career stage.
