Cloudflare is holding a competition to see who can build this next Git platform. Artifacts is in open beta and has been used for vibe-coding platforms, persisting agent session context, and creating isolated repositories for safe agent work. New capabilities include deploying Artifacts repos to Workers via Workers Builds, which automatically builds and deploys code pushes to the production branch, and creates or updates Workers Previews for other branches.
Developers can also manage Artifacts directly from Workers using an Artifacts binding to create or fork repos, inspect files and commits, and issue repo-scoped Git tokens, making the Git workflow programmable.
