On 24th September 2026, while developing the CZP-1—a web-based Casio CZ-101 emulator—the author discovered a YouTube video by oliveoil22 demonstrating custom sounds. Oliveoil22 shared CZ-101 patch data, which the author converted from a .syx MIDI file to JSON using Claude. Users can load these patches into CZP-1 by downloading the file, opening the app, and selecting “Load bank from JSON file” under the Library’s Banks menu.

Once loaded, sounds appear under Programs and can be played via on-screen keyboard, computer keys, or MIDI. The CZP-1 does not replicate oliveoil22’s post-processing effects, resulting in slight sonic differences. Saved banks persist across sessions and tabs unless private browsing is active.

Sounds can also be shared via URL—generated by hitting “Share” in the Programs menu—encoding all data client-side with no server storage. The author credits oliveoil22 for the patch data and invites corrections if unauthorized.
