Eight rounds into the 2026 Formula 2 season, Nikola Tsolov leads the standings with 161 points, closely followed by Gabriele Mini (134), Rafael Camara (125), and Alex Dunne (108). Tsolov, a Red Bull Junior Team member, has secured six wins, a Formula 2 record he shares with Davide Valsecchi.

Mini has shown remarkable consistency with one victory and 14 top-eight finishes. Ferrari Driver Academy's Camara has proven his speed with four poles in the last five races and two feature race wins. Alpine junior Dunne, despite a less dominant season than his rookie year, has achieved five podiums.

These four drivers have solidified their status as frontrunners, particularly in the feature races. Camara showcased impressive recovery and racecraft, ultimately winning the Spa-Francorchamps feature after incidents and a red flag. Tsolov navigated a more challenging race due to setup issues and contact, but still secured a podium finish. Mini discreetly recovered from early setbacks to finish fifth, just behind Dunne.

The strong performances of Tsolov and Camara have fueled speculation about their F1 futures, with Racing Bulls team principal Alan Permane noting Tsolov as "next in line." Both drivers, however, remain focused on their Formula 2 championship aspirations.
