Christian-focused mobile network launches with forced porn block

Radiant Mobile, a new MVNO targeting Christians, will launch May 5. It uses network‑level filters to block porn and gender‑related content, defaults on for all plans and cannot be disabled even by adult users. The service runs on bandwidth purchased from T-Mobile and is marketed through churches and Christian influencers nationwide to reach congregations of all sizes in the U.S.

Founder Paul Fisher, former fashion agent turned evangelist, says the network aims to create a “Jesus‑centric” digital environment. He secured $17.5 million from Compax Ventures, with Nvidia executive Roger Bringmann listed as lead investor. Radiant contracts Israeli cybersecurity firm Allot to categorize over a hundred website types, automatically blocking domains tagged as pornography, violence or “sexuality,” which includes many LGBTQ sites.

Critics warn that immutable blocks give Fisher unilateral control over what constitutes “acceptable” content, blurring lines between parental controls and censorship. Academic David Choffnes notes similar mechanisms power authoritarian firewalls, while U.S. carriers already offer optional adult filters. Radiant plans to supplement the restriction with a curated library of AI‑generated Bible videos and licensed children’s characters, delivering a fully insulated faith‑focused mobile experience.
