Trump Phone Scam: $59M Collected, No Phones Shipped

590,000 customers paid $59 million for Trump's gold smartphone promised as "Made in USA." The T1 device, announced by Trump's sons in June 2025 to coincide with Trump's campaign anniversary, remains undelivered after multiple delays. Customers paid $100 deposits for a phone marketed as an alternative to Apple and Samsung, with no units confirmed shipped to date.

The phone faced repeated postponements, moving from initial late summer 2025 delivery to November, December, and eventually mid-March 2026. Trump Mobile operates on T-Mobile's network, offering a $47.45 monthly plan with 5G coverage. The company redesigned its website, removing all release dates as delays continued despite blaming government shutdowns for the holdup.

Customers report minimal communication from Trump Mobile. NBC News, which placed a deposit in August 2025, called support five times without receiving updates. Journalist Joseph Cox experienced billing errors and never had his shipping address collected. With no shipping timeline and growing customer frustration, the $59 million venture appears increasingly unlikely to fulfill its promises to nearly 600,000 buyers.
