Sign in with Apple Moves to private.icloud.com Domain

Starting later this year, new Sign in with Apple addresses will be issued on private.icloud.com instead of privaterelay.appleid.com. The change follows an update announced on August 24, 2026, and applies to developers using Apple's authentication service.

Existing addresses on the old domain will continue to work without interruption, ensuring no disruption for current users. After reviewing community feedback, iCloud+ Hide My Email addresses will remain hosted on icloud.com, keeping that service unchanged.

Developers with apps or websites integrating Sign in with Apple must update their account systems, email validation logic, and allowlists to accept addresses on the new private.icloud.com domain alongside the existing one. Apple recommends reviewing the official documentation on Sign in with Apple and communicating through the Private Email Relay Service for implementation guidance.
