Open Aim: A New FPS Aim Trainer

I played a lot of Valorant and got mad, so I built Open Aim, a new kind of FPS aim trainer that analyzes your raw crosshair movement to explore motor and perceptual weaknesses instead of scoring scenarios. It also selects sensitivity and difficulty as part of the tasks and creates playlists that are optimal for your learning speed.

Appearance offers theme‑target color presets that are colorblind‑friendly against every theme, plus target styles, playfield backgrounds, arena moods, earned backdrops, and living scenes that shift slowly to fight visual fatigue. Eye‑strain reduction dims and warms the UI while keeping target contrast, motion reduction disables UI transitions, and crosshair style (size, thickness, gap, color, outline) stays visible. Feedback includes hit markers, sounds, miss flashes, shot sounds, blocked‑shot cues, tracking tones, off‑screen spawn cues and markers, and a pace metronome for coached drills.

Reward moments give confetti when you set a record, rank up, or hit a streak, and eye‑rest reminders follow the 20‑20‑20 rule. The HUD can hide timers, score, acc, FPS, or go into Zen mode. Input settings let you set sensitivity per mouse count, import in‑game sensitivity, adjust FOV, and use raw input. Coach challenge point, session length, focus, auto gain sens, data capture levels, auto‑download replay, and contribution to the Aim Commons model are all configurable, with leaderboard rankings stored under a public handle and settings saved in each replay’s .oar header.
