Framework unveils the Laptop 13 Pro, a full redesign that slashes battery fatigue while upping power. Built around Intel's Core Ultra Series 3 CPUs, the 13.5‑inch machine ships with a 74 Wh pack, LPCAMM2 LPDDR5X memory, and a CNC‑machined aluminium chassis. Pre‑orders start at $1,199 for the DIY model and the pre‑built version tops out at $1,499 in June launch.

Battery life takes center stage. On 4K Netflix, the Pro clocks over 20 hours, 12 hours longer than its predecessor and rivaling a 14‑inch MacBook Pro M5. The leap stems from Core Ultra 3's heterogeneous architecture—up to 16 cores on an 18A node and low‑power efficient cores that keep the system silent during streaming in real‑world scenarios everywhere today.

Display and touch co‑evolve for developers. A 13.5‑inch 3:2 panel delivers 2,880×1,920 pixels, 1800:1 contrast, 30‑120 Hz variable refresh, and up to 700 nit brightness. In‑cell touch and a haptic pad with four piezo elements give coders a responsive feel, while Dolby Atmos support turns the modest speakers into a cinematic experience across both speakers and headphones today.

The chassis is a first for Framework: a single block of 6063 aluminium, CNC‑machined for rigidity while staying 1.4 kg. Four Thunderbolt 4 ports sit on an expansion card, and an upgraded 100 W GaN charger fills the 74 Wh battery in under an hour. With PCIe 5.0 storage and Wi‑Fi 7, the 13 Pro is built for future‑proof workflows for developers.
