Today we’re rolling out 21 new flagship voices for Grok Voice, adding to the original five and instantly available via the realtime Voice Agent API, the Text‑to‑Speech API, and the new Grok Voice Agent Builder. Each voice was cast for a specific job—support, characters, commentary, advertising, education—and comes with speech tags like [pause] and <whisper> for fine‑grained control. Sample dialogue shows the natural flow: “Thanks for your patience — I found the issue. [pause] Your account was still on the legacy plan, so I’ve moved you over and <emphasis>applied the credit to this month.</emphasis> <soft>You’re all set.</soft> Anything else I can take care of?”

All voices are natively multilingual, covering 25+ languages, with examples in Chinese to illustrate global reach. The original five—Ara, Eve, Leo, Rex, and Sal—have also been upgraded with a new training recipe that improves pacing, phrasing, and emphasis. Developers can now build custom voice agents using the Grok Voice Agent Builder in the x AI console, or even clone a personal voice from about a minute of audio.
