Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers will play Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys in Rio de Janeiro after an encouraging 20-minute workout convinced the team to activate him despite a left hamstring injury. Flowers had been a game-time decision earlier in the day, with sources indicating the Ravens were not counting on him. His return gives quarterback Lamar Jackson his top target for the first time since the season opener.

Flowers is expected to be limited to 20 to 30 snaps. This season, the Ravens have scored four touchdowns on five drives with Flowers and three touchdowns on 16 drives without him. Flowers aggravated his hamstring in the season-opening win at Indianapolis, where he had a career-high 150 receiving yards in the first half.

He missed the Saints game and did not practice Wednesday or Thursday before a limited walk-through in Brazil. On Friday’s injury report, he was listed as questionable. Flowers has missed four games in his four-year career.

Last month, the Ravens signed him to a four-year, $140 million extension, averaging $35 million per season, making him the fourth-highest-paid wide receiver in the NFL.
