Washington Commanders linebacker Leo Chenal was carted off the field with a neck injury during the second quarter against the Seattle Seahawks. Chenal tackled running back Emanuel Wilson while appearing to lead with his head, immediately falling to the ground. Medical personnel quickly attended to him as teammates gathered around and fans chanted his name.

He was ruled out for the remainder of the game and taken to a hospital as a precaution, though he reportedly had feeling in all extremities. Chenal was starting in place of the injured Frankie Luvu, who missed his second consecutive game with a groin injury. The Commanders were already thin at inside linebacker, with Jordan Magee on injured reserve and Ale Kaho elevated from the practice squad to replace Chenal.
