It has been a defining year for luxury cruising. Once characterized by crisp white tablecloths and rigid formality, the industry has shifted toward highly personalized travel. To meet growing demand and attract first-timers, cruise lines and luxury hotel brands are launching intimate, yacht-like vessels with exclusive itineraries, tailored experiences and dedicated wellness offerings.

The Four Seasons I launched in March, emulating the superyacht experience at 679 feet with 222 guests. It features 95 residential-style suites, 11 dining venues, four pools and a 9,974-square-foot Funnel Suite that has sold for over $300,000. Fares start at $31,000 for seven nights.

The Orient Express Corinthian, unveiled in April, is the world's largest sailing yacht at 721 feet. Designed by Maxime d'Angeac, it has 54 ocean-facing suites, five restaurants and a spa. Fares start at $19,500 for three nights.

Explora III, launched in July by the Geneva-based Explora Journeys, spans 879 feet with 461 ocean-facing suites. It emphasizes public space over passenger capacity for enhanced comfort and privacy.
