AMD's RDNA 5 GPU IP has shipped inside a Samsung SoC, marking the first commercial deployment of the architecture. The Xclipse 970 GPU, found in Samsung's Exynos 2700 SoC built on the 2 nm SF2 node, features eight WGPs with 16 Compute Units. This mobile chip utilizes a unique 10-core CPU configuration featuring Arm C2-Ultra and C2-Pro cores, clocked up to 4.24 GHz.

Samsung has paired the GPU with a 24-bit LPDDR6 memory interface to ensure high bandwidth for both CPU and GPU clusters. While details on desktop RDNA 5 remain scarce, this mobile SoC provides the first benchmark data of the new architecture. The collaboration between AMD and Samsung highlights the maturity of the SF2 node and signals a significant step forward for AMD's GPU roadmap in the mobile space.
