Universal Music Group and ElevenLabs have announced a multi-year licensing agreement and wider strategic collaboration to launch a new AI-powered licensed music platform. The unnamed software will be built around licensed music from UMG artists who choose to participate and will be distinct from ElevenLabs' existing Eleven Music AI music generation software. The platform is aimed at music fans who want to create remixes and mashups of participating artists' tracks, with artists receiving fair compensation.

ElevenLabs' tools will also enable new track interpretations and personalized vocal experiences: UMG and ElevenLabs Launch AI will be built around licensed music from UMG artists who choose to participate and will be distinct from ElevenLabs' existing Eleven Music AI music generation software.
