Capcom's long‑awaited sci‑fi title Pragmata finally lands after nearly six years of development. The third‑person shooter blends frantic gunplay with a hacking minigame, forcing players to juggle combat and puzzle solving. Set on a lunar station, astronaut Hugh and his android companion Diana must escape a deteriorating facility, offering a rare single‑player experience in the genre and narrative twists that keep players engaged.

Built on Capcom's RE Engine, Pragmata supports ray tracing and NVIDIA‑only path tracing, while also leveraging the engine's strand‑based hair simulation. Upscaling options include DLSS, FSR 1‑4, and frame‑generation modes, though XeSS is absent. The review tests performance on popular handheld PCs such as the Steam Deck, ASUS ROG Ally, MSI Claw 8, and a SteamOS‑based ROG Ally, providing device‑specific settings for each model.

Across the board, the Steam Deck manages playable 30‑fps visuals at medium settings, while the ROG Ally series reaches 45‑fps with high presets, thanks to aggressive DLSS scaling. MSI's Claw 8 sits between the two, delivering smooth 40‑fps at balanced quality. These findings show handhelds can handle demanding AAA titles, but optimal performance still hinges on careful upscaler selection during gameplay.
