Gigabyte's MO27Q28GR is not a new monitor but a new surface on the existing MO27Q28G, a 27-inch 1440p gaming display with LG Display's fourth-generation WOLED panel running at 280 Hz, sold at $600. The key innovation is the RealBlack Glossy coating, combining a zero-haze optical layer with anti-reflective treatment to maintain full black reproduction in 500 lux ambient light—roughly a brightly lit living room—without the typical glare of glossy screens. The panel, marketed as Primary RGB Tandem, uses two stacked OLED modules with a charge generation layer, doubling luminance at the same drive voltage.

Gigabyte rates it at 335 cd/m² SDR and 1,500 cd/m² HDR peak brightness at 1.5% APL, with a claimed 20% power reduction vs. third-gen WOLED, lowering heat and slowing organic degradation. The subpixel layout was revised from RWBG to RGWB, moving the white subpixel to third position to align with Windows font rendering, reducing text fringing. Connectivity includes two HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, USB-C with DP Alt Mode, USB hub, and automatic KVM switch.

The chassis is four-sided borderless with full ergonomics and Eyesafe 3.0 certification.
