In a move to foster community customization, Valve has released the CAD files for the Steam Machine's exterior. These files, in STEP format and under a Creative Commons license, allow users to design and create their own faceplates and accessories, provided they attribute Valve and share modifications under the same license. The models include details for fan mounting, feet, and I/O.

Additionally, FSR 4.1 is now officially available through Proton Experimental for supported games. This update brings the official Proton version in line with custom forks, enhancing the gaming experience for Steam Machine users.
