Spiders Studio Closes, Nacon Takes Over GreedFall Support

Spiders, the French studio behind GreedFall, has confirmed its liquidation, ending operations immediately. The announcement appeared on Bluesky, where the team apologized for a month of silence. After years of developing its flagship RPG, the studio will hand over support to former parent Nacon, which will manage any remaining customer inquiries for all future issues related to the games therefore.

The final piece of content will arrive on May 14: Nacon will release the previously planned Peren's Black Mass DLC for GreedFall: The Dying World. After that date, no further updates or expansions are expected, leaving the game in its existing state. Players who purchased the base title can still enjoy the full campaign, but support will shift to Nacon.

Spiders' closure signals a broader shift in the European indie scene, where smaller studios face mounting financial pressures and consolidation by larger publishers. The move leaves fans without new content beyond the final DLC, while Nacon inherits the duty of maintaining legacy titles. For consumers, this means a point of contact for issues and a halt to expansion for GreedFall.
