Sennheiser unveiled the Momentum 5 Wireless, the latest iteration of its flagship ANC headphones. Priced at $399.99, the trio of finishes—Black, White, and Denim—hits stores on June 16 in the United States. The model retains the celebrated 42 mm drivers while promising a more user‑focused experience, and it targets audiophiles seeking premium performance without compromising portability.

The headphones carry the same 42 mm transducers built in Sennheiser’s Tullamore plant and add Hi‑Res Audio certification plus Snapdragon Sound support for codecs up to aptX Lossless. ANC now uses four microphones per ear, delivering up to three times better voice‑chat suppression and clearer calls. Battery life reaches 57 hours with ANC on, and a user‑replaceable 700 mAh cell charges via USB‑C. The Smart Control Plus app adds an eight‑band EQ and personalized presets.

Firmware upgrades unlock Dolby Atmos with head‑tracking, turning compatible streams into immersive sound fields. Bluetooth 5.4 ships out of the box, with a future update slated for Bluetooth 6.0 compatibility. Packaging sheds plastic, cutting case size by 20 % and reinforcing Sennheiser’s sustainability push. A 20% smaller case and a 3.5 mm cable for wired use round out a product positioned to compete aggressively in the premium wireless‑ANC market.
