NACON's RIG brand has unveiled the R5 SPEAR MAX HD gaming headset, featuring Ora's GrapheneQ driver technology for enhanced audio performance. The $149.99 headset targets competitive PC gamers with custom-tuned audio for first-person shooters. Michael Jessup, Head of Audio Product at RIG, emphasized their mission to create the ultimate range of headsets for competitive gamers.

GrapheneQ technology uses pure graphene membranes that combine high stiffness with low density, delivering improved audio reproduction and ultra-low distortion. These properties translate to better spatial audio in gaming, allowing players to pinpoint sounds with enhanced speed and precision. Ora co-founder Ari Pinkas noted the partnership aligns with both companies' vision for the future of game audio.

The R5 MAX HD includes a USB-C DAC that upgrades PC setups to audiophile quality with 32-bit/384 kHz sample rate and Dolby Atmos 3D audio rendering. The headset features an expanded SNAP+LOCK mod system with swappable components, including interchangeable microphones and stereo cables. Future accessories like broadcast mics and enhanced earcup covers will be available after launch.
