The open beta for Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, which launched on July 24, experienced significant issues shortly after going live. Players across PC, PS5, and Xbox platforms reported being unable to access the game due to PlayStation Account errors. Downdetector registered between 1,500 and 7,000 error reports every 15 minutes during the early hours of the beta.

The problem appeared to affect all platforms due to the mandatory PlayStation Account login. Both Arc System Works and PlayStation acknowledged the widespread outage. They announced server maintenance would take place until 16:00 PST (01:00 UTC), apologizing for the inconvenience. Updates were to be shared through the game's official channels.

In addition to network problems, some users reported excessive CPU utilization caused by Fighting Souls. Conflicts between the game's Easy Anti-Cheat software and Linux-based devices like the Valve Steam Deck were also noted.
