CI Games pushed the sequel to its dark‑fantasy RPG, Lords of the Fallen II, from fall 2026 to Q1 2027. Founder Marek Tyminski announced the shift on X, noting the move frees the title from a crowded holiday slate. The game retains its Souls‑like combat and indie‑scale ambition, aiming to land as a fresh entry in the franchise and aims to capture both veterans and newcomers.

Tyminski explained the delay isn’t solely about Rockstar’s upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI, though that blockbuster drives many publishers to reshuffle schedules. By avoiding the year‑end rush, CI Games hopes to give Lords of the Fallen II a clearer market window and more media attention, and lessen competition pressure during launch window. The extra months will also let the team polish mechanics and narrative beats.

The studio also highlighted collaboration with a Gameplay Feedback Team composed of seasoned Souls veterans, aiming to integrate their insights before launch. Tyminski thanked the community for continued enthusiasm and promised further updates as development progresses. The extra polish could translate into stronger first‑week sales. With the new timeline, Lords of the Fallen II targets a less‑contested launch, positioning itself as a standout dark‑fantasy action RPG.
