Keychron has launched the V6 Ultra Hybrid keyboard on Kickstarter with a $30,000 goal, surpassing $166,000 from 926 backers in one day. The keyboard supports both MX-style mechanical switches and magnetic switches via TMR sensing tech, automatically detecting switch type per socket.

Built on an affordable gasket-mounted design with an ABS case, the V6 Ultra Hybrid includes double-shot PBT keycaps in OSA profile and sound-damping foam. It runs ZMK firmware on a 4,000 mAh battery, offering full reprogrammability via Keychron Launcher and wireless efficiency. An 8 kHz polling rate enables analog features like SOCD, RT, DKS, and controller emulation, with adjustable actuation from 0.1 mm to 3.5 mm.

Early bird pricing started at $149 for Ultra-Fast Lime or Banana magnetic switches, now $152 standard and $157 with Silent Red switches. A $160 bundle adds a coiled aviator cable. Post-Kickstarter MSRP is unannounced but expected to be similar.
