Keychron has launched the K1 Ultra 8K, a TKL (tenkeyless) version of its K Ultra keyboard line. It retains the low-profile design with wood side panels and aluminum reinforcements, but adopts a more compact TKL layout instead of the K5 Ultra's 100% layout.

The K1 Ultra 8K features ZMK firmware for efficient wireless connectivity, boasting up to 490 hours of battery life on a single charge (2,600 mAh) at 8 kHz polling with backlighting off. The keyboard has an ABS plastic case, double-shot PBT keycaps, and rosewood accent panels. A programmable knob is included in the F13 position, defaulting to volume control.

Available for $109.99, the K1 Ultra 8K offers three switch types: Milk POM Red, Brown, and Banana. It also incorporates four layers of sound-damping material for quieter typing and supports customization via Keychron Launcher for macros and per-key RGB lighting. The keyboard supports both Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz wireless connections.
