Keywell mechanical keyboards are generally reserved for the most ergonomic designs, like the MoErgo Glove80 and the Bastard Keyboards Charybdis, but KBDØ has incorporated a keywell design into its 60% Curve0 mechanical keyboard (stylized as CurveØ) since 2024. Now, KBDØ has officially announced the Curve0 v2, a 75% redesign of the original Curve0, delivering a more refined implementation of both the Curve0's keywell design, with a redesigned bottom row, and its industrial aesthetic. KBDØ argues that "a flat typing surface is not very comfortable," since your fingers have to move towards the key and then down to press the key and actuate the switch.

The company claims to solve this problem by putting the keys on a curve and lining up the travel path of the switches with your finger's natural movement direction. The keyboard employs a heavily flex-cut PCB mounted in a folded and rolled stainless steel case that also serves as a switch plate. The Curve0 v2 uses a wired USB connection, and it runs on open-source QMK firmware with VIA and Vial configurator support for layout customization.

The keyboard is compatible with MX-style mechanical switches, and it is available as both a hot-swap and soldered kit, with the hot-swap version coming in at $95, while the soldered version, which needs to be soldered by the buyer, costs $90. It should be noted that the Curve0 is a barebones keyboard, meaning that price does not include switches or keycaps.
