Intel's forthcoming 'Razor Lake-AX' processor is positioned as a high-end gaming component, according to recent information shared by leaker Jaykihn. This new chip architecture is expected to house an integrated GPU utilizing the Xe3 graphics IP, currently seen in 'Panther Lake.' The flagship configuration is rumored to boast up to 32 Xe3 cores, with a secondary option offering 16 cores. This potential configuration represents a substantial leap in graphical capability for integrated solutions, potentially positioning it far beyond the current Arc B390.

Further details suggest that 'Razor Lake-AX' will incorporate a large physical footprint, with the GPU die estimated to measure approximately 162.84 mm²—a considerable size for integrated graphics. In a reversal of prior plans concerning the 'Lunar Lake' generation, Intel is reportedly bringing back on-package memory, specifically LPDDR5X/LPDDR6 configurations for this 'AX' series chip. This points toward a complex, multi-die design likely requiring advanced interconnect technology like EMIB and Foveros 3D.

Packaging specifications indicate robustness, with the chip expected to utilize a BGA-4326 package, similar to those used for Xeon CPUs. While an earlier concept for a 'Nova Lake-AX' with 48 Xe3 cores was shelved, 'Razor Lake-AX' is slated for launch following the 'Nova Lake' generation, with an anticipated release window set for 2027.
