Intel today unveiled its Core Ultra Series 3 vPro 'Panther Lake' mobile processors for commercial notebooks, building on its consumer Core Ultra Series 3 lineup. These processors integrate the full Intel vPro platform, offering enhanced enterprise security and remote manageability features for business users. The new chips debut Intel's 18A foundry node, which the company positions as a must-win technology that delivers superior transistor density, energy efficiency, and clock speeds compared to previous generations.

At the heart of 'Panther Lake' are architectural improvements including the new 'Cougar Cove' P-core optimized for the 18A node, featuring enhanced branch prediction, memory disambiguation, and TLB improvements for minor IPC gains over the previous 'Lion Cove' core. The 'Darkmont' E-core pushes further IPC increases, while Intel Thread Director receives updates for more accurate scheduling. The processors launch with a comprehensive suite of vPro features including Device Discovery, Intel AMT, total memory encryption, and remote management capabilities.

The lineup targets two form-factor categories: thin-and-light notebooks with 15W base power and high-performance notebooks ranging from 25W to 45W. The thin-and-light segment includes three models - the Core Ultra 7 365, Core Ultra 5 335, and Core Ultra 5 332 - all featuring 4P+4LPE core configurations with 4 Xe3 graphics cores. The performance segment offers more diverse options tailored to demanding workloads.
