Innodisk has unveiled its CXL Add-in Card (AIC), a specialized expansion solution designed to overcome the memory scalability limitations of traditional motherboards. Responding directly to the surging demand for memory in next-generation computing, particularly at the edge, the AIC leverages the mature PCIe interface to provide fast, flexible memory access without consuming valuable system DIMM slots. This design preserves native memory capacity while adding significant bandwidth via its PCIe Gen 5 x8 interface, enabling faster data flow for latency-sensitive applications like AI inference and edge processing.

Featuring two RDIMM sockets, the AIC offers flexible memory expansion up to 256 GB (128 GB x2), allowing users to easily adjust capacity by swapping modules. Its compact HHHL form factor, combined with Innodisk's small DDR5 RDIMM/RDIMM VLP modules, is specifically tailored for microdata centers and edge systems, unlocking new possibilities in scenarios demanding rapid memory access such as 5G networking, high-frequency trading, and smart medical imaging.
