ICY DOCK has announced the ExpressSlot Elite MB303E5P-B, a new E1.S storage adapter that supports two 9.5 mm NVMe SSDs within a single PCIe expansion slot. Designed for high-performance servers, workstations, and edge platforms, the device installs into a full-height 3/4-length PCIe x8 or PCIe x16 slot and provides dual rear-accessible removable caddies at the PCIe bracket for faster SSD maintenance and replacement.
Built on a PCIe 5.0 x8 interface, the MB303E5P-B delivers up to 128 Gbps bandwidth per SSD via independent PCIe x4 links. This architecture enables full-speed NVMe performance for each drive, making it ideal for data-intensive workloads while maintaining a clean, expansion-slot-based deployment model.
The adapter features dual removable E1.S caddies with screwless SSD installation, simplifying drive replacement and reducing maintenance time. A 50 mm frameless fan and sealed airflow chamber design provide active cooling for both SSDs, helping maintain consistent performance and reduce thermal throttling under sustained workloads.
The MB303E5P-B is well suited for enterprise servers, AI/ML data pipelines, edge computing systems, telecom platforms, and system validation labs requiring compact dual-drive PCIe Gen 5 E1.S SSD deployment.
