Giga Computing, a GIGABYTE subsidiary, announced support for 6th Gen AMD EPYC Server CPUs across its server lineup, enhancing systems for demanding workloads. At the AMD Advancing AI 2026 event, Giga Computing debuted its first server for the new AMD EPYC 9006 platform.

AMD's 6th Gen EPYC Server CPUs feature a two-socket strategy: SP7 for leadership performance with up to 256 cores and SP8 for efficient scale-out performance. Both sockets support "Zen6" or "Zen6c" cores. The SP7 socket, with PCIe Gen 6 and 16-channel DDR5, is ideal for AI, HPC, and 5G core deployments. Giga Computing's liquid-cooled rack systems can support over 40,000 CPU cores per rack. The SP8 socket offers efficient compute for virtualization and edge deployments, maximizing performance per system dollar.

Giga Computing's portfolio includes the R165-DG2-CS1 single-socket rack server and the B685-D80-LS1 ten-node blade server, both designed for SP7. Shipments for SP7 systems begin in November 2026, followed by SP8 systems in March 2027. Giga Computing is also showcasing systems with AMD Instinct accelerators and Pensando NICs, offering end-to-end AMD AI infrastructure.
