Framework released the OCuLink Dev Kit, a modular adapter replacing the Graphics Module in the Framework Laptop 16 with a high-speed PCIe 5.0×8 interface. This port enables users to connect external hardware like GPUs, networking cards, or capture devices via 128 GT/s bandwidth, theoretically matching desktop-class performance. The kit includes an OCuLink Expansion Bay adaptor, a Graphics Module OCuLink Dock, a PCIe OCuLink Dock, and an 8i cable.

However, users must supply their own desktop power supply unit (PSU), as Framework omits one from the package. The OCuLink port also lacks integrated charging capabilities, requiring at least two cables for operation—limiting its convenience compared to USB4 or Thunderbolt standards.
