Fanatec and Trak Racer, both part of the Corsair family of brands, showcased an extensive range of new simulation hardware at Sim Racing Expo 2026. Leading Fanatec’s announcements was the first public appearance of Project Obsidian, an all-new steering wheel design targeting launch in 2027. Project Obsidian features a 5-inch high-resolution color LCD beneath a single piece of glass, integrated with RevLEDs and rotary switch illumination for a seamless central surface.

It includes RGB-backlit buttons, a strong all-aluminium structure, and is designed with Sim Hub compatibility, transferring telemetry data via USB or Wi-Fi, with Wi-Fi focused on UDP telemetry for maximum console game compatibility. The prototype was shown early to gather community feedback and reveal the direction of Fanatec’s next-generation steering wheels. Tobias Stelzer, VP and General Manager of Fanatec, stated the expo is an opportunity to show where Fanatec is heading and what they’ve achieved over the past year, emphasizing community input and continued investment across the ecosystem.

Also debuting was the Club Sport Formula V3 Oracle Red Bull Racing steering wheel, an officially licensed product inspired by the RB22 Formula 1 car. Based on the Club Sport Formula V3 platform, it features a 2.7-inch white OLED display, revised ergonomics, forged carbon finish, and the distinctive jacquard pattern from the RB22 car. Unveiled by Oracle Red Bull Sim Racing driver and three-time F1 Sim Racing world champion Jarno Opmeer, it is scheduled for release in mid-November 2026.

Trak Racer presented its expanding range of racing, motorcycle, truck, and flight simulators, including two TRZ motorcycle simulators.
