Ghost Ship and Coffee Stain Publishing launched Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core on May 20, bringing a roguelite twist to the popular co-op FPS franchise. Available on Steam for $29.99, the spin-off shifts focus toward fast-paced combat and build diversity. Players assume the role of Reclaimers, tackling timed missions where they start with basic equipment and must gather upgrades as they progress.

The early access release offers five distinct classes: the tanky Guardian, drone-wielding Falconer, time-rewinding Retcon, toxin-based Spotter, and melee-focused Slicer. Each mission lasts 45-50 minutes and features both optional and mandatory objectives. While gear resets after each run, meta-progression and class customization provide long-term development options.

Since launch, the development team has actively implemented community feedback through hotfixes addressing tutorial issues, difficulty balance, and bug fixes. Additional classes are planned for future updates, though specifics remain unconfirmed. The game's early access approach allows players to shape its development as the roguelite iteration of the Deep Rock Galactic universe evolves.
