BIOSTAR has announced the EdgeComp MS-1335U, a compact, fanless embedded PC built for edge computing deployments. Powered by an Intel Raptor Lake Core i5-1335U processor, the system prioritizes silent, low-power operation for continuous use in commercial and public infrastructure. It targets growing demands from smart cities, intelligent retail, and industrial automation, where reliability and energy efficiency are critical for long-term installations.

Versatility is a key focus, with support for up to four simultaneous 4K display outputs via HDMI, DisplayPort, and dual USB Type-C. This enables complex multi-screen applications for smart factories, digital signage, and traffic control. The system also features four COM ports for industrial peripherals and 4G/5G SIM support for mobile or remote edge nodes, expanding its utility in IoT and automation scenarios.

The fanless design improves durability by eliminating moving parts, while supporting up to 96GB of DDR5-5200 SO-DIMM memory and an M.2 PCIe x4 slot for storage. Dual Intel 2.5GbE LAN ports provide robust, redundant networking. As edge computing grows to reduce latency and data transmission costs, BIOSTAR’s MS-1335U offers a scalable platform for system integrators building next-generation intelligent environments.
