Amazon Web Services (AWS) and NVIDIA announced a major expansion of their strategic collaboration to meet surging global demand for AI infrastructure. The companies plan to deploy 2 million additional NVIDIA GPUs across AWS's global infrastructure in 2027-2028. Building on 16 years of joint innovation, the expanded collaboration includes bringing NVIDIA Vera CPU-based infrastructure to AWS, extending NVLink Fusion with custom high-bandwidth memory, and building AI factories for the U.S. government with 100,000 GPUs on secure AWS infrastructure.

The partnership will also integrate the NVIDIA platform with AWS Nitro System and Elastic Fabric Adapter for enhanced security, support NVIDIA Nemotron open models on Amazon Bedrock and SageMaker, and accelerate data processing using CUDA-X libraries. AWS CEO Matt Garman emphasized the goal of giving customers freedom to choose the best AI tools with seamless integration, while NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang stated demand is outpacing forecasts and the expanded partnership will make agentic and physical AI real at unprecedented scale.
