Apple today announced two new displays designed to pair seamlessly with Mac systems. The Studio Display features a 12MP Center Stage camera with Desk View, a studio-quality three-microphone array, and an immersive six-speaker sound system with Spatial Audio. Both models now include Thunderbolt 5 connectivity, providing enhanced downstream connectivity for high-speed accessories or daisy-chaining displays.

The Studio Display XDR represents a significant leap forward for professional displays. Its 27-inch 5K Retina XDR display features an advanced mini-LED backlight with over 2,000 local dimming zones, delivering up to 1000 nits of SDR brightness and 2000 nits of peak HDR brightness. The display supports both P3 and Adobe RGB wide color gamuts, making it ideal for print and design professionals.

Pricing starts at $1,599 for the standard Studio Display and $3,299 for the Studio Display XDR, with pre-orders beginning March 4 and availability starting March 11. The XDR model includes a tilt- and height-adjustable stand with a 105mm height range and sophisticated counterbalancing arm. Both displays can be configured with standard or nano-texture glass options, catering to different lighting conditions and professional needs.
