Apple today unveiled the M6 processor in the new Mac mini and the M5 Ultra in the new Mac Studio, delivering an extraordinary leap in performance and AI capabilities. The M6, Apple's first 2-nanometer chip, features a 12-core CPU complex with the world's fastest CPU core, a 12-core GPU with Neural Accelerators, a Dual 16-core Neural Engine, and up to 170 GB/s of unified memory bandwidth. The M5 Ultra, designed for pro and AI workloads, uses next-generation UltraFusion technology to create a quad-die architecture with an up-to-36-core CPU, up-to-80-core GPU, and 1.2 TB/s of unified memory bandwidth—50 percent more than M3 Ultra. These advanced SoCs deliver industry-leading power efficiency while enabling users to tackle demanding desktop workloads.
