The M5 Ultra stands as the most powerful M-series chip ever, utilizing a quad-die architecture with up to a 36-core CPU and 80-core GPU.

These chips power the new Mac mini and Mac Studio, respectively. Sri Santhanam, Apple's vice president of Silicon Engineering Group, highlighted the chips' industry-leading power efficiency. The M6 offers enhanced performance per watt for daily tasks, while the M5 Ultra provides desktop-class power for demanding pro and AI workloads.
