AMD rolled out the Adrenalin Edition 26.6.2 WHQL driver today, targeting its latest RDNA 3 Radeon RX 7000 GPUs. The update adds FidelityFX Super Resolution 4.1 support, letting owners upscale games with less performance hit. As the second June driver, it also bundles generic stability tweaks for older Radeon cards, aiming for a smoother experience across the lineup.

New game titles now run natively on all RDNA tiers, with Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced and DOOM: The Dark Ages | Revelations added to the whitelist. The build also patches intermittent crashes in Road Craft on RX 7000 parts and resolves purple‑screen glitches when HP Reverb G2 headsets pair with RX 6000 series cards, improving VR reliability.

AMD still flags Battlefield 6 instability on Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APUs, noting texture flicker, driver timeouts, and FSR Frame Generation inactivity on RX 9000 hardware. The company promises a fix in the next hotfix and recommends users with Blender or Cinema 4D rendering problems on RX 7000‑plus silicon revert to driver 26.3.1 until then.

For gamers, the driver means immediate access to upscaled visuals on the newest Radeon 7000 series without sacrificing frame rates, reinforcing AMD’s push to close the performance gap with competing GPUs. By addressing specific crash scenarios and expanding game compatibility, AMD signals a commitment to maintaining the Radeon ecosystem’s relevance as titles continue to adopt advanced upscaling technologies.
