AMD (NASDAQ: AMD) announces the appointment of Alan Smith as its newest Corporate Fellow, honoring his pivotal role in GPU architecture and AI computing. His leadership has propelled AMD’s success in HPC, science AI, and data‑center AI workloads.

Mark Papermaster, AMD’s executive vice president and chief technology officer, noted that Smith’s technical leadership was critical to achieving product success across HPC and AI for science. With 15 engineers holding the Corporate Fellow title, AMD underscores its commitment to rewarding the most accomplished innovators.
