Developer Cold Iron Studios shut down the servers for the cloud version of *Aliens: Fireteam Elite* on the Nintendo Switch. The game originally cost $60 for its “Ultimate” edition. No refunds have been offered. Affected players are instead being offered a discount on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game, which means paying again for a title already purchased.

In a March announcement seen by Delisted Games, Cold Iron told customers the game would become inaccessible on August 5, 2026. A pop-up message stated: “Thank you for playing our game… We apologize… We hope you will continue to enjoy our other titles.” With the game now delisted, players cannot access the game at all—not even offline or single-player mode.

The shutdown comes just weeks before the launch of the sequel, Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2, on August 25. Killing the Switch version may push some players to buy the new game.
