The iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max are here, bringing new additions under the hood. On the outside, three new colors and a smaller Dynamic Island, while internals bring the A20 Pro chip, larger batteries, and variable-aperture main cams. Burgundy is the new hero color, joined by glacier, black, and silver.

The new Pros get the same 6.3 and 6.9-inch LTPO Super Retina XDR OLED panels, but with a narrower Dynamic Island that fits up to three live activities. The selfie camera remains the same 18MP module. The Apple A20 Pro chip is built on a 2nm process with an additional CPU core, a new GPU core, and a second neural engine over the A19 Pro, bringing CPU total to six with 2x "desktop-class" super cores. The 7-core GPU offers 40% faster graphics processing, and memory bandwidth is up 50%.

Apple updated thermal management with a next-gen vapor chamber with 3x the area of the iPhone 17 Pro, and silicon packaging inspired by M-series chips. The main camera now has a variable aperture with manual control up to f/4.0, letting in 50% more light in dark environments. Battery details are scarce, but the eSIM-only 18 Pro Max gets up to 45 hours of video playback, and the 18 Pro up to 36 hours. Charging speeds boost to 50% in 15 minutes.

Both phones ship with i OS 27 and new Siri AI, but Siri will not be available in the EU and China, launching in beta later this month. The iPhone 18 Pro starts at $1,199 for 256GB, and the Pro Max at $1,299. Pre-orders start September 12, sales on September 18.
